On a typical rainy Saturday , my husband , my three teenage boys were booked in at Game over escape rooms in Liverpool. We had booked to do the money heist room . It was our first time doing an escape room and we were really looking forward to it , it didn't dissapoint.
We had 60 minutes to escape and were given red boiler suits just like in the TV series , which added to the fun.
We were told by the gamesmaster to work as a team , use the computer as much as possible and that we could ask for help if we were really stuck. We were taken to the room told that were three rooms , the bank , the office and the vault. We were told to start in the bank and the clock was ticking.
We first had to get under the laser and then start solving the clues. The clues were a mixture of problem solving , mathematical, puzzles and brain teasers. We had a computer that gave us extras clues if we were stuck, a bag to collect goodies along the way and also a tablet we could write things down on. The time went so fast while we were in there and we did have to ask for clues on several occasions , but considering it was our first time we did quite well. We managed to get the money but didn't escape , due to a little twist at the end , we were so close though !
I would definitely recommend this activity as a fun thing to do with the family , especially teenagers. It would also be great to do with friends , work colleagues or for a celebration of some kind like a birthday. Game over have several different themed rooms as well as the Money heist one we did , there is Espionage , Jigsaw ( the saw movies ) , Pirates of the Caribbean and Squid games. My boys want to do the Squid games one next time.
